We have an ice cream truck that comes through our neighborhood at around 7 p.m. I have two issues with this. First... really? 7 p.m.? You're kidding, right? Perhaps he's hoping to hit folks up for dessert after dinner? My kids are already leaning toward bed at that time of night, so I'm certainly not going to cart them out for ice cream. Rachel would have that stuff from tip to toe quick as you could say, "Don't use your fingers to eat that!"

But second, and more importantly, the music it plays? Christmas music. Jingle Bells, Silent Night, perhaps some others that are that are lost to the Doppler effect as it drives away. And I just can't figure out WHY? It's summer. Presumably, summer is the only time one would be able to sell ice cream out of a truck because it would be, oh I don't know, too cold in the winter. I would stop the truck to ask, but this is a crisis of cognitive dissonance that I am not certain the driver would understand.
